Contemporary architecture in Rome

Rome is known for its Ancient, Renaissance, Baroque and 19th-century architecture. But don't forget the contemporary masterpieces. Here is an impressive list of buildings completed within the last decade. The mosque by Paolo Portoghesi (Viale della Moschea), the AuditoriumParco della Musica by Renzo Piano (Viale Piero de Courbertin 30), the Ara Pacis (Piazza Augusto Imperatore) and the Chiesa di Dio Padre Misericordioso (Largo Terzo Millennium8-9, Tor Tre Testa) by Richard Meier, the national museum of art of the 21st century (MAXXI) by Zaha Hadid (Via Guido Reni 4) and the city's museum of contemporary art, (MACRO) by Odile Decq (Via Reggio Emilia 54). Rome is a modern city too.
