6 July-9 Sept. Castel S. Angelo programmes a series of interesting events to entice the public to visit the evocative historic monument throughout the summer. The museum is open until late at night, while concerts of every genre take place in the “Cortile delle Fucilazioni”, the “Cortile della Balestra” and in other nooks and crannies, many of which are normally closed to the public.
The programme features baroque chamber music, some operatic repertoire, music for film, some tango and a fair amount of jazz. Concerts take place on Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun and start at 21.00. Open daily 20.30 to 01.00. You have to buy an entry ticket to the museum but concerts and guided tours are free.
