People who donate blood in Rome during the months of July, August and September will receive two tickets for entry to one of the citys museums. The Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Museo dellAra Pacis and Museo Carlo Bilotti are among the museums participating in the scheme. In addition, first-time donors will be given two tickets to take a trip on the Tiber aboard one of the Batelli di Roma. The scheme is aimed to encourage and thank people who give blood over the summer months, when donation typically falls by around 40 per cent, slowing down transfusions and transplants.
