Ciampino airport was closed temporarily for two weeks in October.
Rome’s second airport Ciampino reopened on the evening of 29 October, resuming full service from Sunday 30 October, following a two-week closure.
The airport had been closed for renovation and maintenance works since 14 October, resulting in the majority of flights being transferred to Rome’s principal Leonardo Da Vinci airport at Fiumicino.
The upgrading works on the Ciampino runways were carried out in round-the-clock shifts by about 450 workers.
