Members of the chamber of deputies are questioning why they have to pay for haircuts while their colleagues at the senate get theirs for free.

Deputies of all political affiliations are united in their petition for free wash, cut and dry within Palazzo Montecitorio. What's more hairdressing services are currently only available to male deputies and their female counterparts are requesting equal treatment. The issue came to light during discussions over the chamber of deputies' budget allocation this week.

Among the perks currently enjoyed by deputies are free language and computer courses; health care, reduced air and train fares as well as in-house banks, post office and sauna.
