Condolences on the death of Christopher Stevens from the British Ambassador to Italy, Christopher Prentice

“I was shocked and deeply saddened when I heard of the horrific murders of US Ambassador Stevens and his colleagues. I have sent  my personal condolences to his family and to the families of the other victims of this outrageous attack.

I remember Chris Stevens with admiration and gratitude for our close collaboration in Benghazi last year in the early weeks of the Libyan revolution. He was an outstanding Foreign Service officer and a good friend of Libya. His and his colleagues’ deaths are a senseless tragedy”.
