Castel S. Angelo is opening new areas to the public during the summer and from 16 July until 4 September it is open late at night on Fridays and Saturdays from 20.00-24.00.

The new areas on show are the Passetto di Borgo, which links the castle to the Vatican, the historic prisons and the recently restored private rooms of Clement VII.

Guided tours of these parts of the castle are also available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10.30-11.30 for the Passetto di Borgo and 17.30-18.30 for the historic prisons; and on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10.30-11.30 for the historic prisons and the private rooms and from 17.30-18.30 the Passetto di Borgo.
