Caravaggio street art at Rome hospital

Ravo spray-paints homage to Caravaggio at Gemelli hospital.

Italian street artist Andrea Ravo Mattoni is recreating The Seven Works of Mercy, painted by Caravaggio circa 1607, in an outdoor mural at Rome's Gemelli hospital.
The 9.5m-high work is being painted on the gable end of a residence dedicated to the hospital's patients and their relatives, and will be inaugurated on 13 December.
The work is the latest in a series of large open-air murals created by the Varese artist, known in the art world as Ravo, who uses spray paint to replicate classic works by Caravaggio.
