Gardening enthusiasts will enjoy the annual

autumn horticultural sale at the beautiful

Landriana estate in Ardea 35 km south of

Rome. From 9-11 Oct the Giardini della

Landriana, established by Marchesa Lavinia

Taverna and laid out by leading English land-

scape artist Russell Page, will host displays of

plants, bulbs, books, pots and garden furniture

and equipment. It is also possible to take a

guided tour of the gardens. Open 10.00-18.00.
