Rice Bowl Appeal
Every year during the six weeks of Lent, Churches Together, an ecumenical body comprising 11 mainly English-speaking churches in Rome, raises money for the annual Rice Bowl Appeal. The 2012 project Out of Africa...into Malta is raising funds to improve the living conditions and providing better facilities for the thousands of African refugees housed in shelters and detention centres in Malta. Envelopes are available from the city’s participating churches and donations are to be returned by Easter Sunday.
