Old bus tickets no longer valid on Rome’s public transport

As of 1 August, tickets for Rome’s bus, metro and tram issued prior to the introduction of the new 100-minute €1.50 tickets on 25 May are no longer valid.

However until 31 October, the old 75-minute €1 tickets – as well as the old daily, weekly and three-day tickets – can be exchanged for new tickets by paying the difference.

Commuters can exchange their old tickets at ATAC offices in the following Metro A stations: Anagnina; Spagna and Lepanto (both closed 10-25 August); Ottaviano, Cornelia e Battistini; and on the Metro B: Ponte Mammolo, Conca D’Oro, Termini, EUR Fermi and Laurentina.

Tickets can also be exchanged at various stations on the Roma-Lido and Roma-Viterbo regional rail lines.
